Wedding music is an important part or your special day and choosing reliable, trusted, professional musicians is a real necessity.
When you hire the NBQ Jazz Band for your wedding we appreciate how important it is to play the right music, at the right time and at the right volume. Although we are primarily a jazz and swing band we are happy to play music in other styles, including Latin American, soul, rock and pop covers.
NBQ Jazz Band has performed jazz music for weddings in hotels, castles, marquees, stately homes, on river boats and in restaurants. We has a repertoire of well over 500 tunes and cover the music of Frank Sinatra, Glenn Miller, Nat King Cole, Ella Fitzgerald, Harry Connick Jr, Jamie Cullum and many other jazz and swing artists.
Recent wedding bookings include:
A jazz trio to play swing music during an afternoon drinks reception then move location and play soft, easy listening music through the wedding breakfast.
A jazz quartet plus male vocalist to play music for dancing for the evening part of the reception. The early requests were for mostly Sinatra tunes however, as the evening progressed, the repertoire started to broaden to more modern music.
A jazz trio to play 2 tunes during the wedding ceremony and then play swing jazz through the afternoon drinks reception.
A solo saxophone to play jazz music with backing tracks, during the wedding breakfast.
A jazz quartet to play one set of Dixieland jazz (stripey waistcoats included) then, with a slight change of instrumentation, play lounge music through the wedding breakfast.
