Three superb bands
NBQ Jazz Quartet
The quartet usually comprises saxophone, keyboard, double bass and drums. We play swinging, cool jazz suitable for easy listening, dancing and background music. The band covers most Sinatra classics as well as songs from Harry Connick Jnr, Michale Buble and Diana Krall. Latin American music and other more modern styles can also be included and the quartet can become a quintet with the addition of a vocalist.
NBQ Jazz Trio
Slightly more laid back that the quartet, but with a similar repertoire. The trio plays jazz suitable for easy listening or background music. The usual line up is saxophone, jazz guitar and double bass. The smooth sound of the trio makes it particularly suited to wedding ceremonies or as an unobtrusive extra dimension to a wedding breakfast, formal dinner or corporate event.
NBQ Jazz Dixieland Band
This band performs the type of traditional, New Orleans jazz associated with the 1920s and 30s. It is 100% acoustic, fully mobile and requires no set up time. The line up is 3, 4 or 5 piece band, always including banjo, trombone and saxophone and musicians are always smartly dressed in the customary stripy waistcoats. The repertoire is taken from the Dixieland classics and includes tunes such as When The Saints, Hello Dolly, Sweet Georgia Brown and, more modern tunes played in a trad jazz style.
